The Research
“I write for those women who do not speak, for those who do not have a voice because they were so terrified, because we are taught to respect fear more than ourselves. We’ve been taught that silence would save us, but it won’t.”

Women have always served in the background of male dominance disregarding race and class. But yet, women are the at the very most serving in the front line. Social construction has dictated that women should always remain the shadows of males. Therefore women, have made themselves visible in order to combat invisibility. Heroic women who fought for equality in the public sphere need to be praised and commemorated for the outstanding work that they have achieved. As we move further into the era of the Fourth Wave, women are taking the spotlight away from male dominance and hierarchy. For this sole reason, women of the past, present, and future deserve public recognition and be placed on pedestals for changing the norm.
I have an interest in feminism, gender roles, and LGBTQ communities within the confines of commemoration, and archiving urban planning history.
